I am looking for the best pally tank spec 4.0.

I want to tank heroics, where do I get started?

490 defense

• Start off by getting plus defence items or enchants
• Your goal is to get to 490 defense (which makes you uncritable)
• You don't have to have 490 defense to start heroics, however it is very helpful

Stam

• Once you get to 490 defense, your next goal is to stack stam
• The more hps you have, the easier everything will be

Avoidance

• So you have 490 def and are starting stam, your next goal is avoidance
• 102.4 combined avoidance between dodge/parry/block makes you uncrushable.
• Look for items that have more then just defense on them now. If your over 490 def, and an item has a lot of dodge on it, use that instead.

Where to start?

• Easiest two heroics would be Ramparts, and Slave Pens
